Mobile Meals of Essex is a voluntary, non-profit food delivery service, which provides three meals daily to clients who are largely homebound due to convalescence from illness, infirmity, physical handicap, advanced age, or who have inadequate homemaking facilities.  The meals are delivered to the client's residence each weekday by a Mobile Meals Volunteer.

Service is provided to residents of the Mobile Meals of Essex Service area, regardless of age, sex, race, ethnic background, or religion.

The service area encompasses Bloomfield, the Caldwells, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair, Nutley, Roseland and Verona.
